In the ceremony of honoring the medal winners of the World Olympiads, Raeisi congratulated the arrival of the Fajr 10-Day (10 days leading to the Islamic Revolution) and said that the Islamic Revolution has always attached great importance to science and knowledge.

He emphasized the necessity of Iran's scientific progress, saying that science and the scientific rank promotion in the country shows that since the 1979 Islamic Revolution Iranian scientists have made lots of achievements after the revolution. 

"A look at the number of scientific articles in 1979 shows that there were only 500 articles at that time while today that number has reached almost 78,000 articles," the president said.
