Yemen reports five operations targeting Israeli, US, British ships

The Yemeni Armed Forces say they have carried out five military operations targeting Israeli, American and British vessels in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.

"In support of the oppressed Palestinian people, and to mark the tenth year of steadfastness in the face of the American-British aggression against our country, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out five military operations over the past 72 hours," they said in a statement on Sunday.

The statement said that the British ship HOPE ISLAND was targeted in the Red Sea with a number of naval missiles.

Two Israeli ships, called MSC GRACE F and MSC GINA, were also targeted in the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea, respectively, it added.

Additionally, the armed forces carried out two drone operations against American war frigates in the Red Sea, successfully hitting their targets, the statement said.

The British maritime security firm Ambrey confirmed on Sunday that two ships were targeted off the coast of Yemen.

Earlier in the day, Ambrey had reported another incident involving a projectile that fell near a ship southwest of the Yemeni port of Aden.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have been attacking ships affiliated with the Israeli regime, as well as those of its allies the US and UK, in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea since November as part of an extensive campaign by the Axis of Resistance to support the Palestinians in Gaza.
