President Masoud Pezeshkian says the Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to resolve issues with the United States within international frameworks.

The president made the remarks in a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

“We are ready to resolve issues between ourselves and the U.S. based on international frameworks and we never seek anything beyond our rights; in this path, we welcome any assistance from our friendly and brotherly countries,” President Pezeshkian said.

Pezeshkian appreciated Saudi Arabia’s clear positions and support during the Israeli-U.S. military aggression against Iran.

The president referred to the U.S. intervention in the war, and said, “The Islamic Republic of Iran was compelled to respond to the direct participation of the U.S. in the attack on Iran’s territorial integrity by launching a missile attack on their base in the friendly and brotherly country of Qatar.”

He pointed out that Iran firmly believes that the U.S. and the Israeli regime seek to create discord and enmity among Islamic countries, and said that Iran is seeking to strengthen unity and peace in the region and considers them a basis for accelerating development; a path that the Israeli regime seeks to disrupt.

Pezeshkian expressed hope that logical agreements could be reached within the framework of international rules regarding the legitimate rights of the Iranian nation and creating a suitable environment for the growth and progress of the entire region.

“Iran is not looking to confront any of its Islamic and neighboring countries, and I hope the Zionist regime, which is constantly igniting fires in the region, will also be put in its place within international frameworks,” he added.

The Saudi crown prince, for his part, pointed out that Saudi Arabia condemned all actions of the Israeli regime against Iran from the beginning.

He said that in addition to efforts to create unity among all countries to condemn this aggression, Saudi Arabia held consultations with various countries to exert pressure on Israel and stop its attacks.

Prince bin Salman said that Saudi Arabia explicitly condemned the U.S. attack on Iran, adding that Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region have not opened their skies for any action against Iran and will not do so.

He expressed hope that nothing would cause the resumption of military conflict, and that negotiations between Iran and the US would begin as soon as possible and reach a conclusion to eliminate the sources of concern.
