British police arrested 175 people under strict security laws during a massive pro-Palestinian demonstration, a move that has sparked a new debate between freedom of expression and political restrictions in the country.

Trafalgar Square on Saturday, was the scene of a large number of pro-Palestinian protesters, who held slogans and placards condemning the crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza.

Many protesters chanted slogans against genocide and emphasized their support for the group called "Action for Palestine," a movement that the British government has placed on its list of banned organizations in recent days.
