In a statement, cited by Al-Manar TV network on Sunday, Hezbollah commended the Palestinian coordination amid a serious concern to stop the Israeli aggression and genocide against the people of Gaza.
The statement said that Hamas showed its adherence to the principles and constants of the Palestinian issue through consultation and coordination with other resistance groups. “This position reflects the Palestinian national unity that must be the basis for any negotiations,” it added.
Hezbollah emphasized that the goal of negotiations between Palestinian groups is “the complete withdrawal of the enemy from Gaza, preventing the displacement of residents, and providing conditions for political, security, and livelihood management by the Palestinians themselves, relying on domestic power.”
The statement concluded with a call for Arab and Islamic countries to stand by the Palestinian people, and the resistance groups in all areas to stop Israeli attacks on Gaza and the West Bank, and help realize the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
Hamas, after consultations with other factions, agreed on Friday night with the general principles of Trump's 20-point plan and announced its readiness to immediately enter into negotiations on the details of implementing the plan through intermediaries.
On Saturday, however, Hezbollah Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, criticized the plan Trump unveiled in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week, calling it “dangerous” and a part of the “Greater Israel” plot.
