Iran proves naval power with long-term missions in world: Cmdr

Commander of Iran's Army Navy Force Rear Admiral Shahram Irani says that the country's navy established its naval power by carrying out long-term missions.

Rear Admiral Irani said on Friday that today, the Iran Army Navy plays a different role than before and it will play a key role in the world arena.

The Iranians did not step back against the enemy's ominous triangle of sanction, conspiracy, and threat, he added.

Iran’s Navy will be present anywhere in the world, he said, adding that the enemy should know that Iranians will not accept isolation and are impossible to sanction.

Islamic Republic of Iran Army’s Navy 86th flotilla successfully completed its historic circumnavigation of the world for the first time in the country’s history and ended at the southern port of Bandar Abbas on May 20.

The 86th flotilla comprises Dena, a warship equipped with anti-ship cruise missiles, torpedoes, and naval cannons, and Makran, a floating military base that can carry five helicopters and is employed for providing logistical support for combat warships.
