Iran has vision to commercialize nuclear research: Nuclear spokesman

The spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi says the organization has a vision to bring its nuclear research to the industrial level and then to commerce.

Speaking in a TV interview, Kamalvandi said Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s Sunday remarks during a meeting with AEOI officials “gave all of us extra energy to move quickly, God willing.”

“The vision of the organization is to be able to have a strong organization that can bring research to the industrial stage and then to business,” he said.

“Today, a part of these industries is quite clear, which has an impact on people's lives, and they were mentioned and stressed by the Supreme Leader as well,” he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei said on Sunday that the nuclear industry is important in terms of the progress and capabilities of the country in technical, economic, health, and other fields, as it gives prestige to the country and makes life better for the people.

The nuclear industry “is important for this reason as well as in terms of the global and international political weight of the country,” he said.
