Enemies try to abuse Iran recent events to create insecurity: FM

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian announced some enemies have tried in recent weeks to abuse events in Iran in order to create instability and insecurity in the country.

The enemies made effort to prepare the ground for the Daesh (ISIS) terrorist attack, Amirabdollahian said in a telephone conversation held on Monday afternoon with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

Amirabdollahian expressed sympathy with the nation and government on Turkiye over the recent mine blast in that country which led to the death of some Turkish people and injury of some others.

The Iranian foreign minister also congratulated Turkiye on Republic Day on October 29.

For his part, the Turkish foreign minister said his country has stood and will stand by Iran in the fight against terrorism.

He made the remarks after condemning the October 26 terrorist attack on a holy shrine in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz in which 13 pilgrims were killed and 30 others wounded.

Ankara and Tehran are two brother countries that have supported each other in good and bad days, Çavuşoğlu noted.

He further welcomed the process of talks between Iran and Azerbaijan.

In the end, the two foreign ministers exchanged views about important international, regional, and bilateral issues.
