Raisi says Iran cheapest, safest path for int'l exchanges

President Ebrahim Raisi has emphasized Iran’s strategic position as a safe and cost-effective route for international exchanges from north to south and east to west.

This statement was made during his visit to the southern Iranian province of Fars on Thursday, where he inaugurated the Isfahan-Shiraz highway that connects the central city to the south of the country.

During the inauguration ceremony, President Raisi expressed his appreciation for the tireless efforts of engineers, laborers, and officials in completing the project, noting that the Isfahan-Shiraz highway could complete the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).

The president also highlighted that railroad projects have been pursued vigorously to develop economic potential in the region.

In addition, President Raisi praised the anti-Zionist operation “Al Aqsa Storm” initiated by Palestinians on October 7 against the Israeli regime, adding that this operation is a symbol of Palestinian power in defending their lands and the region.

President Raisi, along with several cabinet members, arrived in Shiraz, the capital city of Fars, early on Thursday to open several development projects across the province, meet with a group of artists and elites, deliver a speech at Shah Cheragh holy shrine, and attend members of a planning council in Fars.
