Iran’s FM discusses Gaza situation with UN’s relief chief

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip.

According to IRNA’s foreign policy correspondent, Amirabdollahian and Griffiths met at the UN’s office in Geneva on Wednesday, where they focused on providing aid to the oppressed Palestinian people and halting the Zionist regime’s barbaric attacks against Gaza.

The top Iranian diplomat has made trips to Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye since the Zionist regime launched its aggression against Gaza on October 7.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said on Tuesday that Amirabdollahian would hold talks with senior United Nations and International Committee of the Red Cross officials in Geneva to expedite efforts for delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, where people have been suffering from more than a month of Israeli aggression.

At least 11,320 Palestinians, including 4,650 children and 3,145 women, have been killed in the Zionist regime’s incessant bombardment of the besieged Gaza Strip since Israel waged the war on Gaza
