“Parallel to committing war crimes and inhumane acts in the Gaza Strip, the Zionists, by escalating their attacks against the territorial integrity of Syria and targeting civilian infrastructure, including airports, are pursuing tension and warmongering in the West Asia region,” Kanaani said in a post on social media on Monday.
He cautioned that the responsibility for any regional crisis that might arise due to Israeli actions will lie with the Zionist regime.
The comment came a day after airstrikes conducted by the Israeli military put Syria’s Damascus International Airport out of service.
The Israeli regime has ramped up its attacks against military targets inside Syria amid the devastating war on Gaza.
