The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with the Islamic Jihad chief Ziyad al-Nakhalah in Tehran on Thursday.

Ayatollah Khamenei said that the resistance of people in Gaza and Palestine besides the failures of the Zionist regime in the six-month war is a divine phenomenon.

Referring to the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in killing the people of Gaza, the Supreme Leader underlined that the killing of women and children by the Zionist regime despite all its military equipment and the support of the oppressive powers of the world shows that the regime is not capable of confronting the resistance forces and defeating them.

Addressing the Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out that “God willing, you will see the final victory of the people of Gaza”.

Ziyad al-Nakhalah, for his part, thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the Palestinian issue, commemorated the memory of martyr General Qassem Soleimani, and said that what is happening in Gaza today is in fact a repeat of the Karbala incident.

Despite all the difficulties and conspiracies, the people of Gaza along with the resistance forces have been able to foil plans of the US, the Zionist regime, and their supporters to destroy the resistance, he added.
