The President issued the directive in accordance with Article 123 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Pezeshkian communicated the Law of the Agreement on the Transfer of Prisoners between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Judiciary and the Ministry of Justice for execution.
This law was approved by the Iranian Parliament on March 4, 2025, and was endorsed by the Expediency Council on June 11, 2025, as per Article 112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Article 125 of Iran’s Constitution, the implementation of the provisions of this agreement is contingent upon the completion of the formalities outlined in Article 22
