IRGC monitors US drone boat passing through Strait of Hormuz

The US Navy sailed a drone boat through the Strait of Hormuz in southern Iran while the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) forces closely monitored its movement through the strategic waterway, reports said.

A Wednesday report by the Associated Press said the L3 Harris Arabian Fox MAST-13 drew the attention of the IRGC forces stationed in the Strait of Hormuz when it was moving through the waterway.

The report quoted US Navy spokesman Commander Timothy Hawkins as saying that the drone boat had passed through the strait safely and there was no incident.

The US military says it uses drone boats in the Persian Gulf to protect its tankers against “suspicious explosions”.
