Iran, Pakistan confer on expanding defense, security ties

Commander of Air Force of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi and Pakistani Army chief Syed Asim Munir have conferred on expanding bilateral interactions as well as military, educational, defense, and security ties.

During the meeting with the visiting Pakistani official on Sunday, Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi called for further enhancing bilateral interactions and expanding military, educational, defense and security cooperation.

He described the relations between the two countries as positive and constructive, stressing the need for boosting mutual ties in various fields.

Pakistani Army chief, for his part, expressed satisfaction with his visit to Iran, emphasizing the importance of increasing defense and security interactions between the two countries.

Pakistani official has made an official visit to Tehran to advance military diplomacy and to expand bilateral cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He has held separate meetings with the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri and the commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami.
