Iran FM rebukes Israeli regime's blatant human rights violations in Gaza

As International Quds Day (the 5th of April 2024) draws near, Amirabdollahian in a memo released on Thursday said unabated genocide and war crimes in the Gaza Strip, the massacre of more than 33,000 Palestinians in about six months, mostly women and children, along with the refusal of the fake Israeli regime from sending humanitarian aid and food to the entire Gaza Strip and forcing people in Gaza to migration have raised the alarm for the most unprecedented humanitarian disaster of the century.

Today, more than ever, it is essential for the international bodies, the UN Security Council and the International Court of Justice plus the Criminal Court to use preventive actions and take effective punitive measures against Zionist regime genocide in the Enclave, he added.

In addition, it is an urgent and vital measure to open Rafah crossing and any other humanitarian corridors with the help of the United Nations, the International Red Cross, and the international community to provide conditions for the continuation of the lives of women, children, and people in Gaza, he noted.

The top Iranian diplomat emphasized the natural and inherent right of Palestinians to use legitimate resistance against oppression and occupation, highlighting that the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that holding a referendum with the help of the United Nations among the genuine inhabitants of Palestine, including Christians, Muslims, and Jews, could end the oldest and most painful crisis of the last century in the region and the world.
