Iran to continue support for Lebanese Resistance: FM

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian voiced Iran's continued support for Lebanon's Resistance against Zionist regime's possible threats.

The Iranian foreign minister on Friday in his press conference in Maroun El Ras, explained Iran's positions on the issues of the region and the Resistance Movement. Maroun El Ras is about 120 km southeast of Beirut, roughly one km from the border with the Israeli regime.

Amirabdollahian in his press conference emphasized that in Maroun El Ras, "we once again voice our political support" for the Palestinian resistance against the "Zionist regime".

Iranian Foreign Minister added that during the meeting with the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, he has received detailed analyzes and evaluations from him, which confirmed that today the resistance of Palestine and Lebanon is in its strongest and best condition, and on the other hand, the Zionist regime is in its worst condition, and with they are facing multi-layered internal political, social and security crises.

Emphasizing that Iran has always been a friend of Lebanon's hard days, Amirabdollahian said that Iran will remain a friend of Lebanon's comfortable days."

Lebanon's resistance proved that the Zionists only understand the language of power, and resistance is the most important thing for security, comfort, and preservation of integrity, he added.

Pointing out that Tel Aviv regime's actions will lead to the isolation of the Zionist regime, Amirabdollahian in the press conference said that Iran's political solution is to hold a democratic referendum among all Palestinians, a referendum among the original inhabitants of Palestine, including Christians, Jews and Muslims.

He emphasized that Iran wants nothing but prosperity, goodness and security for the region.

Prior to this,  Iran’s Foreign Minister held separate meetings with the Secretary-General of Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine Ziyad al-Nakhalah and  the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, and had exchanged views on the latest regional issues.
