Iranian officials condole with Hamas chief on martyrdom of family members

Iran’s top military and administration officials have conveyed messages of condolences to Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh on the martyrdom of his sons and grandchildren in an airstrike by the Israeli regime in Gaza.

Vice President Mohammad Mokhber, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri, Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Akbar Ahmadian as well as Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami sent separate messages to condemn the heinous crime and express solidarity with the Hamas official.

Mokhber extended his condolences on the martyrdom of Haniyeh’s family members in the “hateful and criminal attack” by the Zionist regime.

Bagheri underlined that such terrorist acts do not show the power of the Zionist regime, but they are a sign of its confusion, desperation, and inability to change calculations of the resilient people of Palestine and resistance fighters.

Salami offered his condolences as well over the tragic martyrdom of the noble and brave children of Haniyeh and several of his grandchildren in the terrorist airstrike by the Zionist regime on a non-military vehicle carrying them in Shati Camp in Gaza.

Ahmadian noted that Gaza today proudly witnesses that the sons of its statesmen stand shoulder to shoulder with its people, fighting the sinister Zionist enemy and getting killed in their resistance efforts.
