According to Khabaronline, Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on Sunday, December 1, regarding the visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to Tehran: “We are hosting the Turkish foreign minister, and Mr. Hakan Fidan’s trip to Iran is a continuation of the regular consultations that the Foreign Ministry maintains with neighboring countries.”
He added that during the visit, the Turkish foreign minister will meet and hold talks with Mr. Araqchi and several other senior Iranian officials.
Baghaei continued: “Naturally, in addition to bilateral relations, regional developments and international issues will also be discussed during this visit.”
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson went on to say: “One of the constant items on the agenda of these diplomatic contacts is the situation in the region, the ongoing genocide and serious human-rights violations in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as the Israeli regime’s aggressions against Lebanon, Syria, and other regional countries. These actions constitute the greatest threat to international peace and security. All countries in the region are concerned about this issue, and through these diplomatic efforts we are working to draw the attention of the international community to a major threat that endangers all of humanity.”
